Commence your journey in Wharf Street, Murwillumbah where you will receive your Taste the Tweed food trail map. Your map will take you on a culinary journey that will delight your senses. Enjoy the ambience of the market place then go on a journey from restaurant to restaurant enjoying the tastes and talents of our town in a progressive dinner style.
A selection of the Tweed’s best cafes and restaurants will offer $6 and $12 tasting plates showcasing the fresh produce and gastronomic diversity of the Tweed.
Why not host your staff Christmas Party, book a table for 10 at $15 per person and enter the table decorating competition to win some great prizes!!
Alternatively, you can just bring your own table and chairs and dine in our BYO picnic area.
We will be offering a specialty bar selling locally hand crafted products or you can BYO drinks. The bar opens at 4pm with food available from 5pm.

Taste the Tweed @ Murwillumbah Art Trail

Murwillumbah will come alive with this vibrant Art Trail and Food Trail.
Follow the exhibition trail as it weaves through this historic town, visit galleries, artists’ studios, pop up galleries, enjoy public art and great food & local produce from Tweed providores and local chefs.
9.00am to 11am Sunday 4 December, 96 Doon Doon Road, Kunghur. The Mount Warning Tours coach will depart from the Murwillumbah Visitor Information Centre at 8.30am sharp.
Cost $55 per person includes transport and breakfast.
Peter and Lee Smith are passionate organic farmers whose farm animals are antibiotic free, hormone free, grass fed and free range.
Your farm visit will commence with a hearty country breakfast followed by a tour of this picturesque farm nestled in the Tweed hinterland.
ATMs are located in Murwillumbah and will be onsite at other events.

First Wednesday every month
The Tweed regions fertile volcanic soil produces the freshest, most flavourful produce all year round. The region attracts some of Australia’s finest chefs and boasts an array of awarded restaurants that effortlessly transform this wealth of locally grown produce into mouth watering culinary delights. Join one of our local chefs for a tour of the Murwillumbah Farmers Markets where they will highlight the produce and you will meet with our growers and providores. Together, select the ingredients for your Master Class.
After the markets join our chef in the kitchen and cook up a storm that will make your mouth water and tantalise your taste buds. Relax over a leisurely lunch as you truly do ‘Indulge in the Tastes of the Tweed’.
Tours operate the first Wednesday of every month, commencing at 9am at the Murwillumbah Visitor Information Centre. Transfers will be available from Tweed Heads and Kingscliff for these tours.Book Now

The picturesque Tweed region in Northern NSW is fast becoming a destination for those who adore the finer things in life like great food, art and culture. The rich volcanic soil of the ancient Tweed Caldera prices an abundance of locally grown produce. Join us for a day that immerses you into a true paddock to plate experience as we visit a selection of local farms and gardens and gain an insight into the tricks of their trade! Lunch will be served in a local restaurant that features the produce that you see on the tour. Enjoy the Tastes of the Tweed created by the hands of our local chefs. This tour is about meeting the farmers, the chess and the locals in a real village atmosphere. Let all your sense enjoy the Tweed and join us as we celebrate who we are as a food producing region.

About Foodie Fest
Tweed Foodie Fest is a celebration of our local rural and hospitality industries and is very much a paddock to plate experience where people can visit the farms, pick their produce and enjoy the tastes of the Tweed created by the hands of our local chefs.
It is about meeting the farmers, the chefs and the locals in a real village atmosphere. It is also about our local community getting together and celebrating who we are as a food producing region.
